Welcoming Charity Wallace as the New Special Envoy for Best Future Generations

The Basic Education Coalition is pleased to welcome Charity Wallace as the new U.S. Special Envoy for Best Future Generations. Wallace was sworn into the role on July 7 by Deputy Secretary Landau, and she will lead U.S. efforts in support of First Lady Melania Trump's Fostering the Future Together Global Initiative.

She brings years of experience in global development, foreign policy, and education, including work organizing summits with nearly 30 African first ladies and helping direct more than $4.1 billion in private sector investment while at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. Her background also includes building education and empowerment programs for women and children across Africa and the Middle East.

We look forward to working with Special Envoy Wallace and her new office as she takes on this important work and we congratulate her on this new role.
