Summary
On Friday, June 17, 2011, the Basic Education Coalition held a congressional briefing to address the challenges of improving basic education in the Islamic world. The briefing highlighted programs targeted at increasing quality education in government schools and partnering with madrasas to ensure children receive the life skills needed to build a strong economy and stable society. Sponsored by Senator Dianne Feinstein, the briefing took place from 10-11:15 am in Rm. G11 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
