Shah Ushers in Major Development Policy Reforms

On Wednesday, January 19, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah, delivered a speech at the Center for Global Development in Washington, DC. The address, “The Modern Development Enterprise,” marked his first year as the head of the agency, as well as USAID’s 50th anniversary.

Speaking to more than 200 NGOs, think-tanks, academics, and international development leaders, Shah referred to education as one of USAID’s “core areas.” He went on to call for greater accountability among all development actors and announced the release of a new USAID evaluation policy. Speech Highlights Video Evaluation Policy
