Rogers Announces FY11 Spending Levels for House Appropriations Subcommittees
On February 3, House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers announced spending levels for each of the twelve Appropriations subcommittees for FY2011. The new total spending limit for the House’s State & Foreign Operations Subcommittee is $46.953 billion.
This represents a 4% cut ($1,811 billion) to the FY2010 spending level and a 17% cut ($9.693 billion) to the President’s FY2011 request. However, it should be noted that an additional $7.88 billion was appropriated by the State & Foreign Operations Subcommittees in FY2010 via supplemental spending bills.
The Appropriations Committee’s organizational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8 to organize and adopt the spending allocations. Read More
